Author – Brène Brown
In today’s daily blog post I will be writing about a favourite quote of mine written by Brène Brown.
Brène Brown Wrote: – “You either walk inside your story & own it or you stand outside your story & hustle for your worthiness.”
My interpretation of Brène Brown’s pictured & written quote is this – “You either walk inside your story & own it or you stand outside your story & hustle for your worthiness.” I believe that this written pictured quote is a mantra that should sing in every person’s life; no matter the journey ones life is taking them on.
This quote tells me that people should put on their big girl panties, own their life and the journey it’s taking them on, walk one’s journey with pride; enjoy what they are doing, talk, sing or write about it… as if your last breath depends on it for you staying alive.
If a person isn’t proud of who they are or of the accomplishments that they have made through their life’s path what hope have they got is accomplishing anything that they put themselves forward for. Self pride is how self accomplishment is earned and gained.
Brène Brown tells me that a person should live one’s life in a go hard and go fast world, being the best one can be with the hand that they are dealt.
I in my own life have always worked hard to be the best person that I can be… pushing through the expectations that others have placed upon me … listening to what people have to tell me along the way… throwing half of what I have heard into the weather and wind… tailoring the other half of other peoples words and building a life that fits me, my ways and my path… all whilst throwing caution to the weather and wind & not getting to far ahead of myself, my abilities or my souls depth.
“What Brène Brown gives to her readers and to her audience is the old stage hook that pulls from a persons varying stages of life; what is unnecessary and unfulfilling in ones life and replaces their missing directions with a guide written in words to how a person can work at gaining their actualised selves in their own life’s journey.”
Whilst it may be scary to change the direction of one’s life mid-flight but, there is no change worthy of having without the pain of hard work and the skinning of one’s knees.
Brène Brown once again captures my above thought in another of her written quotes; “Vulnerability is our most accurate measurement of courage.” Feeling lost and or scared of change of either ourselves or the direction that we are willed to take, leaves us openly critical of ourselves and our reasons for why we strive for greater accomplishments in our life.
For some; inner vulnerability forces us as humans to stick to what we know and what it is that we are good at.. fearing change some people become stuck and workable in an environment that doesn’t challenge them to look outside of the box.
On the other hand, some use their vulnerabilities to strengthen their character… sticking it to the world and the people around, proving to others that they are capable of being far greater than they are in the perception of those in judgement.
Some people when pushed out of their comfort zone; grow and push through their fears and come through the other side of their stagnant world and stand tall in their growth… looking themselves in the mirror and being able to see their self growth, their courage and the gravity of themselves in their courage to change for the better.
Brène Brown encompasses everything that I have written in today’s daily blog entry. Above all of Brène Browns quotes, the one quote that sums up my daily entry is the following:-
It’s not about “what can I accomplish?” but “what do I want to accomplish?” Paradigm shift.
What I feel that Brène Brown is saying here is that it is how a person goes about making changes in their lives in order to change or add depth to how they do or see things in their life. Changing a person’s fundamental foundations in order to bring forth a persons want for change and in the end bringing themselves to life & growing into their ideal selves.
So today’s writing is dedicated to Brène Brown and her worded quotes on how a person comes forth to grow into who they want to be.
In a shortened version of looking at Brène Browns written quotes I take from her writings that she is saying the same thing that Abraham Maslow was exploring in his psychology studies “The Study Of Self Actualisation.”
Regina Brett Said It Best…
“Don’t Audit Life. Show Up & Make The Most Of It Now”
Meaning of Regina Brett’s quote is:
don’t live in regret
or with hopes of having a do over
no over thinking it
just be in the here & now
Just get living your life
